Daphne Lariba Nabila – Secretary
Ms. Nabila obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from the University of Ghana and her Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Law from Harvard Law School. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, having obtained a Certificate to Practice Law from the Ghana School of Law. She is currently pursuing a second Master’s Degree (MSC) in Human Resource Management from the Accra Business School. In the last eighteen years she has worked with the Legal Resources Centre (LRC), a human rights and development NGO based in Ghana. Ms Nabila over the last thirteen years has also been appointed as company secretary for over fifteen companies. She is skilled in research, proposal writing, report writing, capacity building and offering consultancy services on areas spanning across Law, Human rights, policy and development. To her credit, Ms. Nabila has published a number of articles and papers on topical areas presented at both local and international conferences. Ms. Nabila has consulted for many local, international and inter-governmental agencies, such as the African Union Commission/International Organisation for Migration, Amnesty International, Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection, Ghana School of Research and Graduate Studies University of Ghana, Legon (TALIF Project), Action Aid Ghana-Rights and Voice Initiative (RAVI) and has performed Legal, Research and Advisory services for organizations such as Integrated Water and Agricultural Development (IWAD), Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO), NAP+Ghana, Prime Attorneys, Ghana Coalition of NGO’s in Health and Freiderich Ebert Foundation-Ghana.
As a Lawyer and Executive Director, she has worked extensively on several projects with her team with funding from several donors including USAID, British High Commission, European Union, UNDP, UNHCR, STAR Ghana, United States Department of State, ILO and OSIWA.
